Experience record: Many years of business and corporate development gained in major US and UK corporations covering environmental projects and construction financing, in many countries. A number of years experience in advising government’s and NGOs in similar activities.
1981-1984 Leigh Environmental Ltd. Project Assistant promoted to Operations Manager. Worked on the development of one of the UK’s first industrial liquid waste treatment plants in Trafford Park Manchester UK.
1984- 1989 Lightnin’ Mixers Ltd. Technical Sales Manager for SE England. Responsible for the design and sales of industrial mixing plants for the processing industries. Took dormant sales area to position of brand leader in 5 years.
1989 – 1994 Waste Management International. Technical Development Manager
Responsible for the development of Technical Division of the UK business (ie all non-collection and non-landfill).
Achieved both organic growth through specific site developments using either internal financial resources or Project Finance, and growth through acquisition of rival companies.
Held ultimate responsibility for the successful delivery of all projects, including business plan development, site and plant design, planning and other approvals, community consultation, financing and implementation.
Conducted peer reviews of all technical business proposals across the European business.
Spent six months on secondment to Wessex Water Plc conducting an investigation into maximising the income from non regulated business.
1994-1997 Wimpey Construction Investments Ltd.
Development Manager worked on major bids for investor stakes in BOO/BOT projects in Canada, India and Oman and also on some of the UK’s earliest PFI projects.
